Instrument and Controls Engineering Design Engineer


Company: Leading Engineering Firm in Industrial Sector


Join our team as an Instrument and Controls Engineering Design Engineer where you will play a key role in executing design activities for a variety of industrial projects. In this position, you will be responsible for developing Controls Systems and Instrumentation design deliverables across different project phases.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with safety policies at all project sites.
  • Collaborate with a team of Engineers and Designers to execute designs and work closely with various project stakeholders.
  • Develop PLC and HMI programming design deliverables and provide support during commissioning and startup phases.
  • Create instrumentation engineering and design deliverables including diagrams and plans.
  • Produce controls design deliverables such as I/O lists and Control Panel Designs.
  • Manage third-party suppliers to meet design requirements.
  • Engage directly with construction personnel and clients to build strong relationships.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members.
  • Experience in the development of P&IDs and defining project scope with process engineers.
  • Conduct quality reviews of project design submittals and construction administration.
  • Coordinate workload with department manager and offsite design office.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrument & Controls, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant design standards and engineering concepts.
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Rockwell and Siemens.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and network architecture design.
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous EPC project execution experience is a plus.

Compensation Range:

The expected compensation for this position falls within the range of $120,000 to $165,000 annually.

This comprehensive package includes a base salary and eligibility for our bonus program.
