The Senior Service Engineer, Power Delivery role, will provide directionand assistance to the work group in order to meet assigned objectives.

Responsibility includes performing installation, troubleshooting, repairand preventative maintenance on electrical distribution equipment.
Yourresponsibilities

Provide knowledge of and conduct work activities in compliance with the ABBHSE (Health, Safety and Environment), ABB Way, and Safety Manual &Safety policy at all times.

Be responsible for hands-on execution of projects including Startup,commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design and repair of PowerDelivery equipment in respective area; Power Delivery includestransformers, switchgear, OCBs, Circuit Breakers, busways, UPS,ATS, PLCs, Relays, Power Management Controls systems and other Powerrelated eqLead outages with other field engineers, technicians, and contractorsincluding project management, lead site engineer or site project manager.

Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, orderingmaterials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports tocustomers, time sheet, and expense sheets on a complete timely, andthorough baPlan, organize, and perform multifunctional field assignments indesignated areas of expertise, directing the work of other field engineersand craft labor as required, in a timely and efficient mannerDevelop and further expand technical knowledge and expertise, currentlyrecognized industry standards for engineering abilityPlan, prepare, and/or instruct both internal and external trainingprograms as required, to impart and perpetuate field engineering and/orproduct knowledge in area of specializationPerform administrative functions in a timely manner that are associated withyour work; such as writing technical reports, ordering necessarymaterials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports tocustomers, time sheets, expense tracking sheets, and cost controlactivities.

Such tasks must be completed on a timely, and thorough basisMaintain knowledge of the report system to the extent required for timely andaccurate input of field information necessaryExercise good judgment in controlling costs and expenditures of company funds.

Protect the company's capital investments by properly safeguarding andmaintaining that equipment for which responsibleStrive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in alltransactions and relationships with customersWork directly with customers and ABB sales / service team to identify newservice opportunities, develop proposals and execute work scopeDevelop knowledge of ABB Industrial Solutions, terms & conditions, andthose of our customers & sub-contractors to minimize risk and ensurecompliance & integrityYour background

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum of 5 years of fieldengineering experience OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10additional years of related engineering / field experienceDemonstrated & ability to build strong interpersonal and customer serviceskills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision,with strong business acumenComputer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and WordAbility and willingness to travel approximately 75% as requiredAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport anddriver's licenseKnowledge of industrial customer base in geographical areaTechnical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include LowVoltage and Medium Voltage Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and TransformersExperience in the repair and refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers(OEM equipment such as Siemens, GE, ABB, SquareD, Multilin relays,and Switzer Relays)Technical skills in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting ofmedium voltage synchronous machines (including excitation systems),controls systems and Programmable Logic controllers a plusCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them towork for ABB in the USMore about usABB's Electrification Global Markets organization is responsible for thego-to-market strategy and generating profitable growth for the ElectrificationBusiness Area.
