Construction Manager at MasTec Communications Group

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service for escalated issues
  • Direct multiple crews and supervise their job site activities
  • Review project schedules and ensure timely completion
  • Manage projects to finish on time and within budget
  • Schedule crews, delegate tasks, review timelines, and oversee work quality
  • Participate in hiring processes and handle employment paperwork
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety practices
  • Interpret technical documents and resolve any blueprint issues
  • Supervise subcontractors, inspect work, and manage personnel and equipment
  • Engage in meetings with senior management, peers, and customers
  • Participate in project estimation, contract negotiations, and change order preparation
  • Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
  • Proven track record of high-quality work completion
  • Effective problem-solving skills and hands-on approach
  • Preference for long-term projects and teamwork
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Construction Management
  • 3-5 years of experience managing telecom construction projects
  • Knowledge in telecom construction areas such as Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, map reading, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to custom software
  • Past experience in site management and client relationship management
