The role you'll contribute:


Under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides management and leadership oversight for AdventHealth Lake Placid and Sebring and serves as an expert resource in establishing policies and procedures to advance nursing practice in AdventHealth Wauchula.

Provides leadership and supervision to ensure that nursing and reporting personnel is practicing in accordance with current research and clinical evidence based and leading practice.

The director is committed to creating a safe environment for patients to receive care, and for nurses and physicians to practice at the top of their license.

Engagement of staff and physicians is vitally important as well as achieving patient satisfaction above the 75th percentile.

  • Actively participates in all activities related to accreditation preparations and plans, ensuring that areas of responsibilities are meeting all standards as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Actively oversees and provides input and feedback for Performance Improvement activities
  • Supports a shared governance model, encouraging and facilitating protective time for meetings and activities
  • Manages department to ensure operations are consistent with budget goals; actively participates in budget planning, forecasting and analysis to ensure quality patient care is provided
  • Creates a department environment that is built around teamwork, collaboration and support to ensure staff and patients are safe

Qualifications:

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:


  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Three (3) years progressive experience in management position

Broad knowledge base of healthcare trends, technology & profession

Communication skills, to enhance & motivate staff

Demonstrates leadership & teaching abilities
