Job Description

HII Mission Technologies Newport News Direct Support is seeking candidates to join our Submarine Re-Entry Control Team (K48). Candidates should have prior US Navy Quality Assurance Experience. This position is on site at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News Virginia.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Develops and implements program quality plans and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies and data related to production. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Familiar with Shipyard Quality Procedures and Practices
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with US Naval Submarine Re Entry Controls
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Ability to lead and conduct briefings with customers and stakeholders
  • Prior experience as Trade Re-Entry Control Coordinator
Physical Requirements

Possible exposure to fumes and irritants normally encountered in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering of data while observing machinery or equipment operations.
