Job Overview

The role of Nurse Educator requires an experienced and professional registered nurse with advanced expertise in education, research, professional development, and clinical skills. The Nurse Educator is responsible for supporting the professional and clinical growth of nurses, acting as an expert clinician to guide caregivers towards expert status, and promoting empowerment through knowledge to ensure the delivery of quality nursing care based on evidence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Completion of Environmental Orientation within 30 days of employment
  • Completion of General RN competency within 30 days of employment
  • Completion of Unit-Specific competency within 90 days of employment
  • California Registered Nurse License required
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification required
  • 3 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
  • 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, including bedside nursing

Preferences:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Prior teaching experience
