Job Description: Markit EDM Consultant

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Markit EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Markit EDM platform implementation, configuration, and support. As a key member of our data management team, the candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining data management solutions using Markit EDM to meet the organization's data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business stakeholders and data management team to understand business requirements and translate them into Markit EDM solutions.
2. Design and implement data models, workflows, and business rules in Markit EDM to support data integration, data quality, and data governance initiatives.
3. Configure and customize Markit EDM platform components, including data adapters, data mappings, validation rules, and workflow processes.
4. Develop and maintain data integration interfaces between Markit EDM and other systems, databases, and data sources using ETL tools, APIs, and web services.
5. Implement data quality controls and monitoring mechanisms in Markit EDM to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of enterprise data.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, business analysts, and data stewards on Markit EDM functionality, configuration, and best practices.
7. Participate in system testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities to validate Markit EDM solutions against business requirements and technical specifications.
8. Document technical designs, configurations, and deployment procedures for Markit EDM solutions to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure consistency in system implementation and maintenance.
9. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new features in Markit EDM to drive continuous improvement and innovation in data management practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Markit EDM platform implementation, configuration, and support.
• Strong technical proficiency in Markit EDM components, including data models, workflows, business rules, and data integration interfaces.
• Experience with data management concepts, including data governance, data quality, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Proficiency in SQL and database concepts, with experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for data integration and automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Markit EDM certification(s) preferred.
