Victim & Witness Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Victim & Witness Coordinator to provide support to the U.S. Attorney's Office District of South Dakota (USAO SD) at the Department of Justice (DOJ).
This is a full-time position that offers job security, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Witnesses before, during, and after trial
- Assist Witnesses with travel arrangements and appearance schedules
- Communicate with attorneys regarding Witness needs and special circumstances
- Handle documentation for special authorizations and approvals
- Ensure all necessary travel documents are provided to Witnesses
- Arrange travel and lodging for Witnesses
- Coordinate travel following DOJ policies
- Provide courtroom orientation to Witnesses and ensure a safe waiting area
- Collect necessary reimbursement documentation from Witnesses
- Prepare and submit reimbursement paperwork
- Provide information on pending and completed Witness vouchers
- Resolve any special circumstances or needs of the Witnesses
- Manage Government Travel Accounts
- Coordinate with relevant agencies and counterparts when needed
- Complete required forms and documents
- Compose letters and documents
- Manage files and databases
- Keep track of Witness appearances and court dates
- Perform administrative Witness management duties as assigned
Background
- Requires at least one year of relevant experience
- Proficiency in word processing, document management, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in business administration is a plus
Education
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in a related field
