POSITION SUMMARY
This role involves providing nursing care under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed physician. The responsibility includes ensuring the quality of nursing services provided by oneself or others under supervision. The role entails observing, contributing to care plans, implementing, reporting, and documenting patient care in line with department policies and state regulations. It requires specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to assess data and provide appropriate care based on patients' physical and developmental needs.
- Observes and reports the patient's various needs, considering physical, psychological, social, cultural, and educational aspects.
- Contributes to care plans, including discharge plans, considering input from patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Implements care based on the plan and medical orders within the scope of practice, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Reports patients' conditions, progress, and responses to treatments accurately to the healthcare team.
- Documents observations, interventions, and patient data in records, reflecting objective and subjective information.
- Coordinates documentation completion, maintains required records, and communicates effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- May be involved in the admission process and facilitate communications with residents, families, and referral sources.
- Works under supervision in a fast-paced environment, focusing on delivering quality care and customer service.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must hold a current LPN or LVN license in the state of practice, along with BLS certification. Additional certifications or education may be necessary depending on the area of practice. For Banner Registry and Travel positions, one year of recent acute care hospital experience is required. Certain roles may need completion of a state-approved IV therapy program as per regulations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in the relevant clinical area is preferred along with additional related education or experience.
