Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse

Schedule: Flexible schedules available

Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm or Monday-Thursday

Compensation: Competitive salary with a signing bonus

Job Overview: Exciting opportunity for an Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse. Join our team and make a difference in the lives of patients battling cancer.

  • Handle administrative tasks efficiently
  • Provide informative consultations on treatment options and support services
  • Educate patients and families on cancer diagnosis and treatment
  • Perform various nursing procedures and treatments
  • Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques
  • Administer injections and chemotherapy accurately
  • Record service charges at the Infusion Center
  • Assist with incidental tasks as required
  • Work with high-risk exposure to pathogens and hazards
  • Attend to a range of 5-15 patients weekly
  • Provide infusions for patients aged 18 and above
  • Most infusions last 30-40 minutes
  • Ensuring infusions are timely and accurate
  • Supervision by a doctor during infusions

MIXING IF COMFORTABLE - comprehensive training provided

  • Prepare and mix infusion medications according to safety guidelines
  • Training offered for those comfortable with the process

Skills/Requirements

  • Active RN License in Florida
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Chemotherapy Certification (ONCC) desirable or willingness to obtain

ONCC Chemotherapy Certification Criteria

Active Nursing License

Minimum 2,000 hours of adult oncology nursing experience in the past four years

At least two years of RN experience in the previous four years

Completed a minimum of 10 hours of oncology education in the last three years
