Mission/Role:
Serve as clinical lead in providing community-based, face-to-face clinical assessment, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis.
MCRS is provided in community settings including, but not limited to:homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings. Assess immediate needs of Individuals in crisis.
This includes determining the level of risk and consideration of all available risk factors and resources that may contribute positively or negatively to the Individual's crisis and their ability to develop and follow a safety plan or other plan of care.
Identify and, when possible, link the individual to needed community resources, including medical, psychiatric, autism, and other services, including but not limited to DBHDD services required to meet immediate and/or ongoing needs.
Provide feedback about how the plan may be incorporated into self-care or encourage follow-up with provider to revise the plan.
Assess when immediate safety needs of the individual require referral to a higher level of care than is available through mobile crisis services and facilitate the referral.
Arrange for transportation to emergency and crisis facilities (ERs, CSUs, BHCCs, IDD/ASD-specific IDD crisis homes) when indicated based upon the needs of the Individual.
Provide brief behavioral health and/or intellectual and developmental disability interventions focused on de-escalation and linkage to appropriate level of care.
Communicate and coordinate care with other team members, ensuring the safety of the team, Individuals, and the general public.
Respond to dispatches and arrive on site in compliance with contract deliverable.In accordance with BHL Safe Driving policy (HR 34), maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license

Experience in assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization skills and familiarity with the mental health, addictive disease, and Intellectual or Developmental disability service delivery system is preferred.
