Summary:

To be part of a team that provides clinical services to clients with mental illness, offering assessment, crisis intervention, skill training, case management, education, and counseling services. The goal is to help clients achieve treatment and rehabilitation objectives and improve their quality of life.

The company is looking for a Clinical Specialist to join their team and contribute to the recovery and well-being of adults with persistent mental illness.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide brief treatment and support to clients and families for developing coping skills and managing psychiatric symptoms.
- Conduct support group sessions as required.
- Act as the main point of contact for a caseload of clients, including intake assessments, skills training, resource linkage, medication evaluation appointments, and more.
- Follow agency policies for client rights and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.

This Clinical Specialist role involves providing psychiatric rehabilitation assessments, interventions, and services to support clients in reaching their recovery and rehabilitation goals, following the Clients Master Treatment Plan. The role includes utilizing different techniques to maximize rehabilitation goal attainment and providing support for clients' social, educational, and employment needs.

Other information:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Masters degree in a Human Services field such as Social Work or Rehabilitation.
- Three years of experience working with adults with serious mental illness.
- Necessary special requirements include maintaining a valid driver's license, willingness to work evenings as needed, good communication skills, and CPR certification.


JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Ability to read and interpret professional journals and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer literacy.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

- Adhere to agency ethics and codes of conduct in all interactions.
- Observe all agency policies and procedures.

- Respect the confidentiality of client information.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

- Physical demands include using hands, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
- Vision abilities required for the job tasks.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
