About the Role:
- As a Director of Security at Viridian's Waltham, MA headquarters, you will oversee all aspects of information security to protect our sensitive data, systems, and networks from cyber threats and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive IT security strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identifying and mitigating risks and emerging threats through regular assessments.
- Leading the incident response team in addressing security incidents and breaches promptly.
- Reporting on IT security initiatives, risks, and compliance to executive leadership.
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO.
- Managing vendor relationships and enforcing IT security policies across the organization.
- Educating employees on security best practices through training programs and awareness campaigns.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT security experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
