Melt Operator

As a melt operator you will be in one of our departments helping to prepare our castings before being shipped to our customers, and where daily tasks may vary and cross-training is essential.
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship will be integral parts of your position as a member of our team.

Maintain and operator six coreless induction furnacesSkim slag or remove excess metal from equipment using hand toolsTransport molten metal from furnaces to transfer ladlesAccurately read temperature gaugesCollect samples and/or signal workers to sample metal for analysisReport directly to the Shift SupervisorEmployee will be constrained to grind castingsCompetenciesWillingness to learn new skillsWilling to take instruction from multiple team members as neededStay on task and communicate well with othersAttention to detailMechanical aptitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, safelyThe Dixon Group is an equal opportunity employer.
