Raytheon is seeking a Ground System Mission Operator - Operations Support Systems Engineer (OSSE). This need aligns with the program's efforts to expand the Mission Operator footprint to multiple sites. This position will establish cross-site resiliency capabilities for the Mission Operator support functions. This is a great opportunity to join an enterprise team supporting multiple missions and gain in-depth mission software knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico

What You Will Do
  • Update procedures to reflect operations and software changes.
  • Create and maintain training documents.
  • Join the Mission Operator - OSSE on call list.
  • Maintain Mission Operator certification and provide 24x7 shift coverage as needed.
  • Train as a Mission Operator - OSSE to provide daily operations support and oversight for 24x7 Mission Operator personnel.
  • Lead interactions and support all missions, ensuring Mission Operator support aligns with mission-specific needs.
  • Work program level priorities to implement process improvements to the Mission Operator positions.
  • Periodic travel required to interact with Mission Operators at various sites.
  • Systems installation, integration, and test experience.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Training and certification as a Mission Operator.
  • Certification on mission system program.
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience working a rotating shift schedule.
  • Working in a virtual team environment.
  • Windows and UNIX platform
  • Experience with Perl, Python, VBA, and/or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.   • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
