Job Description:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computerized axial tomography procedures using different imaging equipment and contrast material following company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts computerized axial tomography procedures and specified invasive procedures by capturing and processing patient exams in compliance with accrediting bodies and/or manufacturer guidelines as detailed in department protocols.
This involves carrying out multiplanar reformats and/or 3D rendered images independently. -Reviews cases with the radiologist when necessary. -Checks labs and patient history to ensure the correct exam is performed. -Administers IV contrast, and oral/rectal contrast as needed. -Identifies and handles any adverse reactions or allergic responses. -Assesses the possibility of pregnancy in patients and conducts pregnancy testing if required. -Maintains patient, visitor, and environmental safety. -Reports safety incidents promptly, including those considered near misses. -Participates in educating students and new staff when needed. -May cover responsibilities of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence. -Meets productivity targets set by department benchmarks. -Assists in other areas during downtimes to uphold productivity. -May need to fulfill duties of other modalities within the department based on held licensure as a technologist/sonographer. -Adheres to job requirements for cross-trained modalities also practiced within the department. -Additional registries may not be mandated for cross-trained modalities at HRHC unless specified by particular compliance, licensure, or accrediting bodies.
