Job Details for Painter/Prepper:
  • Schedule: Full-time - Mon - Fri / 8 am - 5 pm
  • Salary: 40,000
  • Competitive salary with up to $2,000 sign-on bonus

Job Responsibilities & Description for Painter/Prepper:
  • Prepare for Perfection: Clean and prepare products for coating application, ensuring every surface is ready for the perfect paint job.
  • Protect with Precision: Apply masking tape or use jigs to safeguard areas before washing, ensuring a flawless finish.
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain unit traceability and prepare surfaces using automatic or manual wash systems.
  • Master the Spray Gun: Utilize a sprayer to apply paint to a wide range of products, adhering to our high standards.
  • Mix and Match: Mix standard paint colors and thinners to achieve the perfect viscosity, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain Equipment: Keep spray paint equipment in top condition, replacing nozzles and components as required.
  • Keep it Clean: Flush and clean paint system circulation and filtering lines and components to maintain optimal performance.
  • Stock Up: Replenish painting supplies to ensure you always have what you need.
  • Adapt and Assist: Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team.
Job Requirements for Painter/Prepper
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of painting experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Previous high volume, low pressure (HVLP) industrial spray application experience.
  • Any additional essential skills and/or knowledge as shown in the HRIS Career & Education > Skills section for incumbents holding this job title.

Work Conditions & Physical Environment:Duties are performed in an industrial environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; twist; bend; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must constantly lift, carry, move, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. This position is designated as safety- sensitive.
