Genomic Expression has developed an RNA platform for Next Generation Cures; by analyzing RNA we can detect disease monitor health and design next-generation cures.

We launched commercial diagnostic products in infectious diseases - COVID1- and oncology.

At Genomic Expression, we are building a company to address the urgent need for better detection of diseases and access to effective treatments.

Strategic work profile

The chief business officer (CBO) will be a key part of the senior leadership team at Genomic Expression Inc.

The CBO will be responsible for defining and executing the right strategy for Genomic Expression's business development activities while ensuring its fit with the company's broader vision and ambition.

You'll be part of the management team and work alongside pioneers in oncology and infectious disease - engineers and developers - to assist the company in developing, testing, and executing its marketing and sales strategy.

Qualifications and Skills


The right candidate will be able to demonstrate successful sales and marketing experience, bringing novel next-generation-sequencing (NGS)-based diagnostics to market in a similar position, preferably within oncology and possibly also within infectious disease areas.


Education:
Preferably MBA with an undergraduate degree in biology or any other relevant postgraduate qualification from a reputed institute.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Jointly work with the CEO to map out a growth strategy and business plan to help the company meet its vision and goals.
  • Develop a robust sales and business development strategy for the company.
  • Build out sales and marketing teams and functions in line with the company's strategy, leveraging existing relationships and also future planned product rollouts.
  • Participate in management meetings and senior leadership discussions on key strategic matters.
  • Build a cohesive risk management strategy across the customer lifecycle - from lead generation to collections.
  • Build innovative products and segments in line with the company's vision to maximize penetration of the company's core product into the target markets.
  • Build and nurture deep relationships with strategic partners, including hospital systems and pharma, in line with the company's growth strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a strong focus on budgets, targets, and achievements.
  • Extract the highest levels of efficiency and productivity from the sales team.
  • Building out a nimble, agile, and flexible sales and business development team that will complement the organization's digital RNA.
  • Understanding available people and processes and aligning them with the business goals.
  • Setting targets, monitoring performance, coaching, and guiding the sales team
  • Identifying areas of improvement in teams and processes and taking necessary initiatives to bridge these gaps for delivery to long-term strategy.
  • Understanding and improvising the business's risk framework, actively monitoring the key risk indices to mitigate the same.
  • Constantly influencing the market through participation in industry forums and market events to ensure positive brand recall.
  • Constantly providing feedback to technology, product management, and marketing departments to drive the future roadmap.
  • Reporting regularly to the leadership team on progress against the business plan, detailing risks and support required.
  • Keeping the business relevant and ahead of the market by constantly interpreting customer, market, and technology trends and feeding back on them to the leadership team.
  • Continuously fine-tuning the offering based on customer feedback.
  • Being responsible and accountable for revenue and sales numbers with agreed profit margins.
More About Your Role at Genomic Expression


You will be employed in a functional area focused on selling our COVID19 PCR test and OneRNA platform, which is an NGS-based diagnostic that we are launching.

Future products will include NGS-based tests in oncology and infectious diseases but also other indications.
