Job Summary:

Production leads support Production supervisor with all manufacturing activities in assigned departments to produce high-quality parts and assemblies for Hayfield Window and Door products, while satisfying the customers at the lowest costs. The production lead identifies, develops, and implements programs, policies and procedures which support total customer satisfaction, both internally and externally, where applicable in relation to this position. The Production Lead will support the Production supervisor in building and developing their team to consistently meet goals and be mutually successful.

Essential Job Responsibilities

As a Production lead, you will focus on the safety and productivity of your team and the quality of the products you manufacture. You will also help create an environment where your team can learn and thrive and ultimately come together and consistently work well as a unit.

Additional responsibilities for the Production lead include:

  • Enforcing safety policies and giving safety presentations
  • Coaching and performing quality product and process audits
  • Demonstrate ability to lead production to meet daily goals.
  • Implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing principles
  • Support Leading concepts of SQDIP actions, objectives, and communication to direct reports.

Additional Requirements

Additional requirements of the Production Supervisor include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8 – 10 hours at a time
  • Must be comfortable performing repetitive tasks using arms and hands).
  • Must be able to work in a loud and fast paced environment, make good judgements, and provide assistance when necessary.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and understand written instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read and understand the U.S. measurement system to 1/32 of an inch
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
