For nearly 25 years, we have provided on-site instructional services within the hospital setting, helping students to continue their academic progress during treatment and successfully reenter the classroom. LearnWell has a network of 180+ dedicated educators that commit themselves daily to embracing our mission and positively impacting generations to come.

LearnWell is currently looking for our next creative and passionate teacher to fill a school year teaching position. We would love to collaborate with you and help more kids journey towards their full potential.The certified teacher will work in a unique outpatient treatment center, which involves working with adolescent students in a small classroom setting and supporting them academically with common core subjects while they are receiving treatment.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver daily lesson plans and instructional material for an average of 6 students within each group
  • Help students one-on-one if extra assistance is needed on their individual school curriculum.
  • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, hospital and parents regarding student progress and student needs
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Updating daily attendance and creating daily session reports for each student

Position entails a 20 hour a week commitment, Monday through Friday and class times are 12:30pm-2:30pm so work hours can be 11:00am-3:00pm, 11:30am-3:30pm, or 12:00pm-4:00pm based on candidate preference.
