The Primary Purpose of the Position is: To provide social work care coordination and psychosocial services to VA North Texas Healthcare System Veterans.

The Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVP) Social Worker has the primary responsibility to provide clinical evidence-based services including, assessments and interventions; program development; Veteran, family, Caregiver, and staff education on intimate partner violence.

The Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVP) Social Worker has the primary responsibility to provide clinical evidence-based services including, assessments and interventions; program development; Veteran, family, Caregiver, and staff education on intimate partner violence; community outreach; resource development; continuous quality improvement activities; and evaluation/consultation.

Must be a skilled communicator capable of developing effective partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies as well as non-governmental organizations.

The incumbent in this position requires advanced knowledge and understanding of the services and benefits available for Veterans, their family members, caregivers, and VA employees from both federal, state, and private sector resources.

The incumbent works with multiple VA healthcare services and with community agencies, leaders, and organizations where s/he has no access to social work clinical supervision.

The incumbent is responsible for developing and establishing linkages and collaborates on VA Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program efforts with community healthcare and social service agencies.

The incumbent is responsible and accountable for the clinical aspect of the program and effectiveness of the facility Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program.
