We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Detective to join the County of Adams, assisting local Police departments in investigating crimes and providing expertise to develop consistency in processes across all municipalities.

This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our community through effective collaboration and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support local Police Departments in the County of Adams by investigating crimes and offering technical assistance.
  • Collaborate with police officers and provide training on current and modern criminal investigation techniques.
  • Gather and review evidence, conduct interviews, and prepare accurate reports for relevant agencies.
  • Testify in court as required and participate in foot pursuit activities.
  • Effect arrests, serve court orders and subpoenas, and maintain appropriate certifications for the role.
  • Maintain firearms, vehicles, and equipment in proper condition, and attend mandatory training courses.
  • Represent the District Attorney's Office at meetings and perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation.

Requirements:

  • Current Pennsylvania Act 120 Municipal Certification or a waiver.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a police officer, with at least 2 years in Pennsylvania or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high levels of professionalism, integrity, and public trust.
