Director Quality Improvement

This role entails overseeing and strategizing quality programs and regulatory activities across various business lines, focusing on enhancing member/customer experiences, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies like NYS DOH, CMS, and NCQA. Responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of improvement programs, enhancing quality performance, and driving operational excellence that positively impacts members, providers, employers, and the community.
Essential Accountabilities- Collaborates with Health Plan-wide leadership to develop and evaluate long-term quality improvement strategies.
- Aligns efforts to achieve business objectives related to clinical quality, member experience, and operational performance.
- Oversees multi-year and annual plans to meet regulatory requirements.
- Manages high-profile projects/initiatives to drive improvement and address customer needs.
This role requires analytical skills for in-depth analysis and reporting, fostering enterprise awareness of quality programs, and engaging with external resources for best practice insights.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of eight years progressive healthcare or management experience, Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field, Master's Degree preferred. Must have expertise in quality measurement and performance improvement processes, familiarity with regulatory agencies such as NCQA and CMS, and strong program management skills.
