This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.

This job is open to:

Role Details
  • Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to grade level
  • Perform operation and maintenance involving design and construction, including infrastructure facilities, utility systems, using civil engineering knowledge
  • Monitor/manage construction projects from start to finish, including preconstruction site surveys
  • Provide civil engineering assistance and technical review of design calculations, drawings, and specifications
Requirements

    U.S. Citizenship required

    Multiple qualifications and certifications may be required such as selective service registration and security clearance

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENT: Professional Engineering degree or a combination of education and experience.

Specialized experience levels (GS-11 to GS-15) require varying degrees of experience and education related to infrastructure maintenance, construction, and project management.

Applicants must demonstrate specialized experience for each grade level.

Education

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  1. Civil engineering concepts and practices
  2. General engineering rules and procedures
  3. Engineering and construction standards compliance
  4. Health, safety, and environmental regulations
  5. Providing policy guidance and engineering advice
  6. Problem-solving in hazardous material cleanup

Qualified candidates must submit transcripts for degree verification.
