The English Language Program (ELP), located on the campus of the University of North Florida, is a university-based intensive English program for international students. The central task of ELP instructors is to provide quality English language instruction to our students in different subject areas (reading/writing, listening/speaking, vocabulary, and grammar) and at different levels (beginning to advanced).

This is a part-time ELP position classified as OPS (Other Personnel Services).
Part-time instructors have an essential role in the program and perform the following functions.

•Prepare, teach, and evaluate class

•Advise students

•Attend faculty meetings

•Coordinate instruction with others within levels

•Develop materials and assessment tools

•Perform exit testing
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in English education or a related field (for example Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, etc.). Plus experience teaching English as a second language in higher education and/or experience in teaching abroad.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in TESOL or a related field (for example Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, English, etc.).
