Job Overview:

Your Responsibilities:

  • Organize a wide range of resident activities, both on and off premises, such as dances, theme parties, holiday celebrations, movies, card games, exercise programs, and more.
  • Conduct assessments to identify activities that resonate most with our residents, fostering participation and engagement.
  • Oversee the formation and ongoing development of clubs that reflect the diverse interests of our Community.
  • Document resident participation in social/recreational programs, both group and individual.
  • Manage all aspects of special events, games, and entertainment, encouraging broad participation.
  • Supervise catering (food and beverage) services for functions, as well as decorating and promotions where necessary.
  • Handle all operational and technical needs for clubhouse activities, including lighting and sound, and manage any inhouse television channels.
  • Coordinate club meetings and room usage, establish and oversee necessary committees, and schedule a variety of shows and events.
  • Maintain an activities calendar for the community and supervise the preparation of inhouse news publications, including layout and distribution.
  • Take charge of developing and distributing weekly Property newsletters, manage advertisement layouts and sales, and oversee ticket sales for shows.
  • Maintain and update all clubhouse bulletin boards, serve as Host of Ceremonies for events, and manage supply orders for events and activities.
  • Manage the activity budget, ensuring costs remain within set guidelines, and photograph Community events and special occasions.
  • Plan special theme days or months to celebrate holidays, seasons, and recognized days like Father's Day or Mother's Day.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business or a related field from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of related work experience as a CAM, Activities, or Social Director is required, with a strong background in entertainment planning.
  • Ability to work effectively with vendors and crews to organize events efficiently, with a strong administrative background.
  • Excellent knowledge of customer service principles and practices, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage office tasks and communicate effectively.
  • Selfstarter, multitasker, with critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex problems, make decisions, and exercise sound judgment.
  • A cheerful and friendly approach to duties, teamwork orientation, and the ability to work independently and drive initiatives.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, sitting, walking, carrying, with occasional climbing.
  • Must be willing to work extended/flexible hours, including weekends, to oversee events.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct or indirect supervision of associates within the assigned property.

Pay:
$65,000.00 per year
