As a Cloud Architect, you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure strategy to ensure optimal performance, scalability, cost-efficiency, and security. Collaborating closely with various teams, including Solution Architects and Engineers, you will translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Establish and promote cloud architecture principles, standards, and target architecture.
  • Create scalable and resilient cloud-based applications and services.
  • Develop and implement cloud migration strategies.
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to propose viable solutions with various options and implications.
  • Optimize cloud resources to enhance performance and reduce costs.
  • Finalize high-level designs, technical decisions, and contribute to enterprise architecture practice maturity.
  • Participate in defining and enforcing architecture standards and policies.
  • Engage in strategic thinking, anticipating challenges and opportunities in alignment with business and technology needs.
  • Evaluate system architecture for stability, interoperability, security, performance, and scalability.
  • Forge strong relationships with tech teams and business partners for better alignment of technology initiatives with business strategies.
  • Conduct coding or engineering tasks, primarily in R&D or prototype development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • ESSENTIAL:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Over 10 years of Application development or enterprise architecting experience.
  • 5+ years of integration architecture and Web Services expertise.
  • Proficiency in cloud hosting and application development, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Knowledge of architectural governance frameworks.
  • Ability to influence and drive the adoption of processes and technology solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts in user-friendly terms.
  • Proven track record of engaging and presenting to stakeholders across business and technology fields.
  • Strong collaborator, results-driven, self-motivated team player.
  • PREFERRED:
  • Industry process understanding in Property & Casualty insurance.
  • Experience with Duck Creek core product suite implementation.
  • Azure certifications.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
