**Job Description** Details:

Location: **New York**

Position: **RN PICU**

**Responsibilities** include:

  • Working with children to understand their **health** condition, documenting patients' **symptoms**, and medical history for the **doctor**
  • Assessing a child's needs and providing initial **care**
  • Identifying changes in children's symptoms and intervening in **emergencies**
  • Participating in **pain management** for children
  • Administering medications, drawing blood, and providing childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines
  • Monitoring vital signs and maintaining accurate records
  • Evaluating children for signs of abuse and providing **supportive** care
  • Assisting parents with anxieties and demands while helping families cope with their child's illness or injury
  • Staying updated on the latest developments, rules, regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures

**Certifications**: AHA BLS - Basic Life Support Certificate

**Education**: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program

**Experience**: 1 - 2 years of Acute Care Experience and/or suitable experience for the role in the service line

**Licenses**: Registered Nurse State of Pennsylvania
