Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk will handle clerical logistics and paperwork to support the warehouse shipping process.

POSITION:
Right to Hire
SHIFT:
7:00am to 4:00pm M-
F
PAY:
$18 hour
BENEFITS:

Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor raw material inventory levels weekly along with shop supplies and report needs to purchasing.
- Complete receiving tickets and note any discrepancies with purchase orders.
- Print bills of lading and other shipping documents for prearranged transportation and notify the shop of expected pickups.
- Coordinate and assist with product loading upon the carriers arrival.
- Notify logistics and customer service of any shipping delays as soon as known and provide alternate shipping times.
- Greet suppliers, receive and sign for small package items, and create BOL for carriers.
- Coordinate scrap pick-up and order items from local suppliers.
Qualifications:
- 2 years performing Shipping Clerk duties
- 2 years office clerical skills (Data Entry, MS Office, Computers etc)
- Knowledge of BOLs or Freight Shipping
- Forklift is a plus but not required
