Cromer Babb & Porter, LLC is a Columbia-based law firm specializing in employment law. Our firm represents individuals in disputes arising from their current or past employment, with various claims such as discrimination and retaliation under Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, and similar statutes. The firm also handles employment-related torts, business litigation, state claims, grievances, and other employment-related claims.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Assistant. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for scheduling, communicating with clients and legal professionals, updating attorney calendars, and assisting the legal team with assigned tasks.
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a positive attitude who is newly making their mark in the professional world.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Calendar)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Schedule
- This is a full-time on-site role that operates under a 33.5-hour work week.
- Work hours are from 9AM to 5PM, Monday-Thursday and 9AM to 3:30PM on Fridays.
Salary and Transparency and Benefits
Salary range is $15-20/hour, and the specific salary offered will be dependent on candidate qualifications. We offer a generous benefits package including 100% employer-paid health insurance (including dental and life insurance), paid time off, parental leave, 401(k) with match, and other optional insurance coverages such as disability and accident insurance (at cost to the employee).
