Position Description

BLUROC are seeking a skilled and versatile IT Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills spanning various aspects of information technology. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for providing support across multiple IT functions including network administration, system maintenance, user support, and troubleshooting. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can adapt to evolving technology landscapes and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting users, resolving issues promptly.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades
  • Administer network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs)
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate and oversee with vendors and third-party service providers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Implement document and maintain IT policies, SOPs, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Procure, install, and configure new hardware and software.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for addition to current systems
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in technology.
Qualifications

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems administration, and support.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) framework and general cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with users of varying technical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are a plus.
