Butler Machinery is seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Director to join Our Team.

As the PMO Director you will be responsible to develop the vision, leadership, and direction of our organization's project management and process improvement.

As a key player in our team, you will be responsible to strategically lead our project management and subject matter expert team to ensure the successful execution of projects across the organization.

You will establish and maintain standard operating procedures, project management standards, oversee project portfolios, and ensure successful project delivery. The PMO will maintain and clearly define our company's standards throughout operations and the integrity of each project.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement the strategic direction of the Project Management Office to align with organizational goals and objectives.
Establish and enhance project management methodologies, standards, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness across all projects.
Oversee the entire project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, resource optimization, and timely delivery of projects.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive measures are in place to address potential challenges.
Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the PMO, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing best practices.
Implement quality assurance processes to uphold project management and standard operating procedures and deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Oversee team of program/project managers and subject matter experts to ensure customer needs are achieved.
Partner with IT leaders to lead enterprise project governance/processes and support for capacity planning and resource allocation.
Works within to promote vision, mission, and values of BMC.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties:
Handles all performance reviews, compensation, and employee relation items with staff.
Organizes, communicates, and delegates responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure the successful operation of the department.
Provides regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivating employees and promoting self-development.
Communicates with and coaches' employees on assignments, providing technical expertise as needed.
Selects, trains, and develops employees consistent with department/division goals, providing coaching on career development.

Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in business, project management or industry related field, preferred with management experience required or equivalent experience, training, and background.

Five years' experience in a supervisory and project management position, with a focus on leading PMO functions.
Must have a valid driver's license, and be able to meet company insurability guidelines.
A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on leadership and team development
Strong attention to details and technicalities.
Excellent organizational and technical skills.
Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
Strong communication skills written and verbal. Must understand who, what, how and when to communicate within the organization. Must understand human behavior and motivators.
Confident communicator, with demonstrated ability to present information effectively to groups and individuals.
