Specialist Objective:
The Aftermarket Parts Specialist is responsible for supporting aftermarket sales resulting in the continual increase in Power Equipment's revenue stream from the sale of aftermarket parts, used parts, attachments, and accessories as determined by the Corporate Product Support Manager.
Organizational Relationships:
The Aftermarket Specialist will report directly to the Corporate Product Support Manager for Power Equipment Co. The Aftermarket Specialist will also have daily interaction with branch parts/service managers and CSR/PSR as appropriate, to assist with identifying aftermarket parts solutions, quoting, and communication of order status and other feedback from vendors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify aftermarket parts suppliers that each of the branch operations are utilizing.
- Identify and document all parts not in inventory at each branch operation.
- Maintain a supplier database with contacts and product offerings.
- Assist parts managers, parts counter, and CSR/PSR's with identifying and quoting aftermarket parts.
- Coordinate with Corporate Parts Inventory Specialist to provide recommendations for aftermarket sources that may make sense to enter consolidated purchasing arrangements.
- Utilize Allied Information Network to facilitate sourcing aftermarket and used parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in business, sales, marketing, or similar field preferred.
- 5+ year's relevant work experience in aftermarket sales, field sales, service support, customer service, or parts management preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
- Excellent customer relations, interpersonal, time management & organizational skills are essential.
- Must have high energy, be self-motivated, and be able to work independently to achieve objectives.
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Must have attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Must successfully pass a background, physical, and drug screen.
