Looking for a Human Resources Administrator who is fluent in English and Spanish to work for a window covering company located in North Hollywood, CA.

Fabritec has been in business for over 40 years and is known in the industry for their great customer service and quality of products.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Carry out recruitment activities for exempt and nonexempt personnel

Conduct employee terminations and exit interviews

Keep record of I-9 forms

Interact with employees on a daily basis

Handle and resolve employee complaints

Generate weekly payroll and monthly commission payments

Perform benefits administration including enrollments, changes and terminations

Manage X-Mod

Administer and monitor all leaves of absence in compliance with Federal and State regulations and Fabritec policies

Review policies and keep employee handbook up to date

Organize and participate in company-wide safety initiatives

Administer workers compensation claims and authorize treatment

Generate required Federal and State reports

Advise both managers and employees on day-to-day policy and practice questions

Maintain a working knowledge of HR laws and regulations that impact the company

Facilitate harassment prevention training for new and existing employees and supervisors

Carry out other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must speak fluent Spanish and English_

  • Minimum three years of experience as Human Resources Administrator
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations including COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, workers' compensation, wage and hour laws, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Opportunity regulations and OSHA
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated skills in advising managers and employees in problem resolution
  • Ability to establish and maintain complex and confidential files, records and official documents
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about employee information
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures and equipment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to relate well with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles

$ $30.00 per hour
