Willoughby Hills Family Health Center's Internal Medicine team provides comprehensive services for adults, diagnosing and treating health problems that need prompt attention, conducting general physical examinations, and performing screenings. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in this team, you will offer top-quality patient care to diverse patient populations under the guidance of registered nurses, physicians, optometrists, or podiatrists. Your role includes performing patient care activities, documenting patient care, administering medication, observing patients' health, and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and document objective and subjective patient data and observations.
• Contribute health information to nursing assessments and report to designated healthcare providers.
• Implement nursing care plans or treatments as directed.
• Document and communicate patient responses, observe for adverse reactions, and perform tests.
• Contribute to revising nursing care plans.
• Educate patients and families.
• Maintain professional development.
• Assist in orienting new employees.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing school.

Certifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio LPN License.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Complexity of Work:

• Utilize critical thinking skills and work with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to a stressful environment and act accordingly.

Work Experience:

• Preferably one year of patient care experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Involve full body motion for patient handling, manual dexterity, standing, walking, lifting, and normal vision and hearing abilities.
• Work under various conditions, including some exposure to diseases.
• Medium Work that may involve lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions including the use of necessary protective equipment.
