EverCharge is a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging devices and management systems and provides hardware and software EV charging solutions for fleets, multi-unit, and single-family homes.
EverCharge's load-balancing SmartPower technology maximizes the number of electric vehicles that can charge at once and eliminates barriers, such as data connectivity.
Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, EverCharge operates a factory in Hayward, CA, which supplies EVSEs for its customers across North America.
Will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of EV charging infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems and components for EV charging stations, including power distribution, grounding, and protection systems.
Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, IEC).
Lead and manage EV charging infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Oversee the installation and commissioning of EV charging stations.
Conduct site assessments and inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality.
Ensure all designs and installations comply with safety regulations and standards.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
Work closely with other engineers, designers, and project managers to develop integrated solutions.
Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients.
Assist in the development of training materials and programs for internal and external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on EV charging infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, UL, IEC).
Experience with power distribution, load calculations, and electrical system design.
Proficiency in CAD software and electrical design tools.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with renewable energy integration and energy storage systems.
Knowledge of smart grid technologies and demand response programs.
Familiarity with software and hardware for EV charging stations.
Experience with utility interconnection processes and requirements.
Job Title and Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $160,000, based on full-time employment.
Actual salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and work location.
