Summary

We're in search of a Land Entitlements Manager who will be accountable for overseeing due diligence for new acquisitions and managing the engineering and entitlements process for new communities.

This role involves coordinating with consultants and municipalities to ensure timely approval of zoning and engineering submittals, adhering to production schedules and specifications. Additionally, responsibilities include reviewing and monitoring zoning documents, developer agreements, permits, and other pertinent paperwork for new communities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the coordination with city, county, and federal agencies to maintain regulatory compliance with entitlements and environmental issues.
  • Work with city officials, consultants, and community action groups to ensure necessary public approvals and permit issuances.
  • Coordinate with development and operations to facilitate the development process.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and supervise the activities of consultants and subcontractors to ensure necessary approvals and adherence to development schedules.
  • Coordinate with attorneys to prepare and review development agreements and any required agreements with city, county, federal, and regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals.
  • Represent division at Public Hearings and related meetings to obtain all necessary development and construction approvals.
  • Maintain a positive company image with peers and municipalities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with city/county elected officials, planning commissions, review boards, staff members, and local organizations.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • BS degree in Land Planning, Engineering, or Environmental Science.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal developmental and environmental laws, local municipal planning and zoning requirements, civil engineering, land planning, and city/county requirements.
  • Strong community and area contacts and extensive market area knowledge are preferred.
  • Advanced PC skills, including using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and writing capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic, team player.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
