Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's is looking for a faculty member to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology, specializing in Motility Disorders. This full-time position includes a faculty appointment, competitive salary, and full benefits package.
Job Duties:
- Clinical responsibilities involve ambulatory and inpatient care, consultative services, and general GI procedures. The candidate will participate in supervising and educating medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology. The division also offers an Advanced Endoscopy fellowship. The Voelker Clinical Research Center supports faculty interested in clinical research.
- Providing outpatient clinical care for children with intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders.
- Offering inpatient care, consultations, and emergency room services for children with gastrointestinal issues.
- Performing general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree or equivalent
- Completion of an ACGME approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology or equivalent.
- Texas Medical Board license.
- American Board of Pediatrics certification with subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology medicine or eligibility for the same.
