JOB DESCRIPTION

Position job Title: Parking Manager

Reports To: Base Area Operations Director

Department: Mountain Operations

Classification: FT/Year Round

FLSA Status: Exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE

Responsible for the successful operations of the parking lots to ensure a superior guest experience upon entering Teton Village.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manages the orderly parking and control of parking lots, the operation of the gates for incoming and outgoing vehicles during the winter season and general set up and cleanliness of all lots for both winter and summer seasons.
  • Coordinates and communicates daily with the Base Area Director and TVA Transportation Director.
  • Supervise and manage Parking personnel to ensure all departmental goals are achieved.
  • Provide a safe environment for both employees and guests
  • Supervises parking lots and daily set up
  • Responsible for ensuring gates are operating properly
  • Interviews, trains, schedules, disciplines, and evaluates staff in accordance with the standards of the company policies and guidelines and to ensure positive guest service.
  • Assist guests with any problems encountered in parking lots
  • Communicate with TVA Transportation Director [AW1] when snow removal and sanding is needed
  • Call local towing companies as needed
  • Ensures all vehicles are maintained and clean
  • Develop and manage department budget
  • Oversees, inspects, and cleans buses and shuttles daily
  • Perform other duties or projects assigned by the Base Area Director
OTHER FUNCTIONS
  • Presents a positive image to employees, guests, and our community
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships and represents the organization to outside vendors, contractors, business, and community groups, as well as local, state, and federal government agencies
  • Work in the Parking Lots as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist with Teton Village transportation as needed

COMPETENCIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
  • Familiar with all current parking codes and road regulations within Teton Village
  • Accounting skills, specifically related to money handling/cashiering.
  • Basic math skills, as required to balance cash receipts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities and ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Dependable and timely
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Superior problem solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of Flash parking Apps and websites a plus.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES

Oversees daily functions of full and part time employees

Number of Direct Reports: 4

Number of Total Reports: 30

Approximate Operating Budget: $1,000,000

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed in both an indoor and an outdoor parking lot setting. Outdoor settings require exposure to extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Indoor settings include a clerical office setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must possess physical ability to shovel snow and sand.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Standing, bending, squatting for extended periods of time.
  • Visual acuity to drive a motor vehicle in extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in a car or at a desk.
  • Hearing and oral communication ability to give and receive detailed information in person, via phone, and via a two-way radio at a normal speaking level.
  • Must be able to climb ladders from 5-50ft
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
  • This role is a year round full time role operating primarily during daytime hours. Must be available to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedules and hours may fluctuate depending on business need and season.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience leading a team.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience with budgeting.
  • Minimum 1 Year parking lot or transportation logistics experience.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) a plus.
