Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products and component parts. Inspects material, parts and products at different stages of production. Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the electronics field. Relies on knowledge, experience and good judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Experience Required
- Ability to use basic hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges etc.)
Knowledge of Company Quality Systems, ESD handling
Knowledge of Standard IPC-A-610 acceptability of electronic assemblies
Incoming inspection of electronic components /metal
J-STD-001 requirements for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies
In process inspection of board assemblies and cable assemblies
Final inspection of top-level units
Inspection of stuffed boards
Solid computer & typing skills and be able to use Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, Excel, & Word
Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently as well as in group settings
Must be organized and able to multi task
Have good verbal and written communications skills
