In this role you will perform a mixture of routine, multiple, and varying assignments related to forensic investigations in collaboration with project managers, clients, and experienced technical experts.

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment applying your expertise and knowledge of digital forensics and cyber investigations to provide digital evidence in support of investigations.



Duties include:

  • Supporting investigations by planning and performing digital forensics examinations of digital, electronic, and mobile device data from a variety of sources with the goal of developing forensically sound evidence.
  • Coordinate with managers and other investigators on digital forensics issues to identify methods and procedures for recovery, preservation, and presentation of digital evidence; provide consultation and expertise throughout investigations on matters related to digital evidence or digital investigative analysis.
  • Harness the Internet of Things to conduct digital forensic examinations, create and review digital/computer forensics analysis reports, and document procedures and policies in support of national security and law enforcement investigations.
  • Apply sound digital forensics solutions to cyber investigations to include host based forensics, network based forensics, mobile forensics, and other investigative analysis.
General Experience

a. 4+ years of experience in electronics design, testing, and troubleshooting

b. Basic understanding of automotive grade electrical systems and automotive forensics

c. Basic understanding of embedded electronic systems

i. Ability to read and create schematics

ii. Ability to repair and modify custom electronic systems

iii. Experience with soldering surface mount components preferred

d. Ability to create and follow test plans for analyzing Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) electronic systems


Ideally you will have a degree in Engineering or a related field of study with a focus on electronics or related experience in electronics design and troubleshooting.
