CLIA Lab Director

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Director to oversee our laboratory operations.
ONLY candidates that currently hold a valid/up to date CLIA Lab Director License will be considered for this position .
As the Laboratory Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of laboratory processes and procedures.
This is a key leadership role within our organization, and we are looking for a candidate who can effectively manage a team and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with GLP, CLIA regulations, and industry best practices
- Oversee Validation experiments and CLIA Licensure
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff in performing laboratory techniques and procedures throughout the validation process
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and validate new laboratory assays or methods
- Monitor quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
- Manage laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to track samples, data collection, and reporting
- Institute a Proficiency and Competency Program for Techs
- Establish a CEU program for educational credits for Techs
- Stay current with advancements in molecular biology, proteomics, flow cytometry and other relevant laboratory fields
Requirements:
- CLIA licensure
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's or Ph.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Strong knowledge of CLIA regulations pertaining to laboratory operations
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
