Our 45-bed, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to approximately 700 infants annually. From healthy newborns to those in need of intensive care, our facility in Southern California stands out in the United States due to its advanced design and technology.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing a care plan, setting goals, establishing priorities, and delivering care within established standards as a Registered Nurse.
  • Offering and documenting direct and indirect patient care services to ensure patients' safety, comfort, hygiene, and protection in a timely manner.
  • Providing patient care and education on preventing diseases and implementing treatment measures.
  • Administering medications and therapeutic agents as required.
  • Conducting various medical procedures such as skin tests, immunizations, and phlebotomy.
  • Observing and assessing patients' conditions, reactions to treatments, and general well-being.
  • Demonstrating advanced assessment skills to determine abnormalities in patients' conditions.
  • Planning and providing individualized patient care based on assessments.
  • Delivering care to diverse patient populations with different cultural backgrounds.
  • Identifying patients' learning readiness and making necessary adjustments for their specific needs.

Requirements for Per Diem Staff:

  • A minimum of 2 working days per pay period is mandatory.
  • Availability to work the agreed-upon number of hours or shifts.
  • Working a minimum of three weekend shifts every 6 weeks is necessary.
  • Commitment to working national holidays as per schedule requirements.
  • Flexibility to rotate shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program; preference for BSN or higher.

License/Certification:

  • Active California State RN License.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and NRP certifications.
  • Specialty Certification needed for consideration as a Clinical Nurse III.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute RN experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Candidates with 1+ years' experience will be considered for Clinical Nurse II level.
