JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Receive clinical and administrative supervision from higher-level audiology personnel
  • Conduct audiological services in diverse settings including hospitals and outpatient facilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluate patients' audiological deficiencies using specialized testing instruments
  • Interpret test results to determine hearing loss and recommend treatment
  • Prepare reports and collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient care
  • Provide auditory and speech training to patients
  • Document patient records and maintain standards
  • Adapt tools for diverse patient populations

REQUIREMENTS:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
OPTION I:

Master's Degree* in Audiology, Communication Disorders, or related field for applicants before Dec 31, 2007. Doctoral Degree for applicants after Jan 1, 2008.


LICENSE(S) AND CERTIFICATE(S): Must have current California audiology licensure.
PHYSICAL CLASS II - Light: Involves light physical effort and walking.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional points awarded for each year of licensed Audiologist experience beyond minimum requirements.
