PCU - Part-time Position on Nights with 2 12-hour Shifts
Experienced Registered Nurse Benefits:

About the Cardiac Med Intermediate Unit:
Our unit, also known as the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), acts as an intermediate step between transitional care and med/surg in terms of patient acuity.
Specializing in cardiac and respiratory distress conditions, without ventilators, primarily serving cardiac patients alongside acute respiratory cases (utilizing high flow oxygen/no vents; new bipap, etc.), and addressing various other complex medical conditions. Physicians determine patient eligibility based on sickness severity falling between standard floor care and ICU levels.
This unit operates in a fast-paced manner, encompassing elements from both the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, combining the busyness of the ED with the critical care aspect of the ICU.
