The Maintenance Tech is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with the day-to-day operational and maintenance needs of the Second City.

We are looking for someone who is punctual, dependable and detail oriented.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. This role is primarily weekends but may have occasional weekday requirements.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

  • Equipment Management
  • Track and discard lost & found items
  • Track and store equipment/product deliveries
  • Maintenance of products and spaces
  • Janitorial responsibilities (as needed)
  • Assist with immediate onsite projects
  • Complete product installation requests and troubleshooting
  • Minor repairs (as needed)
  • Setup and breakdowns for classes and/or events
  • Verify each space has sufficient chairs, supplies and/or equipment
  • Be available to assist with any malfunctions in the spaces
  • Setup and breakdown all equipment used for classes/events
  • Inventory of class equipment (mics, amps, etc.)
  • Lock up closed areas of the building

Qualifications:

  • Janitorial experience (a plus)
  • Proactive and solutionfocused
  • Can adapt in a fastpaced environment
  • Timemanagement skills required
  • Flexible availability (willing to work mornings, evenings and weekends)
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs or more
  • Climb stairs, ramps and ladders occasionally during shift
  • Bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
