WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area.
  • Complete detailed and accurate daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both electronically and by hand.
  • Supervise daily SUE field crew activities and train other crew members.
  • Represent and communicate on behalf of T2ue with clients, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities.
  • Maintain, clean, and operate vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies effectively.
  • Facilitate daily tailgate safety meetings.
  • Perform daily job hazard analysis with crew members.
  • Drive commercial motor vehicles (CDL license not required).
  • Direct safety set-up for proper maintenance of traffic signage.
  • Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor reorder
  • Handle other duties and projects as assigned.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret utility company prints and design plans.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all climates.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, for up to a 2-week continuous stay.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience as a SUE Field Technician II.
  • Must have a valid and active Driver's License.
  • Subject to drug screening and criminal background investigation.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • May be required to work weekends and holidays.
  • May work hours outside the standard 8-to-5 schedule.
  • Must attend work regularly and adhere to approved work hours.
  • Possible extensive travel (up to 2 weeks continuously) and overtime as needed.
  • Exposure to inclement weather conditions.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment provided by the employer and comply with safety requirements.
