ROLE
The Machinist position involves using various machine tools to create or modify parts. Responsibilities include tool and die assembly, setting up machinery, and using a variety of equipment such as CNC machines, grinders, power drills, and welders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to replicate machine parts and calculate dimensions
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for fabricating parts
  • Ensure all parts meet specifications and tolerance levels
  • Troubleshoot and repair tooling dies
  • Train production workers on tool and die assemblies
  • Set up machinery for production
  • Maintain and repair machine shop equipment

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience operating a variety of machinery including Lathe machines, CNC machines, grinders, and welders
  • Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years experience with high-tech machines
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • High school/GED or Trade school education in machines
  • Military experience will be considered in place of formal education

SKILLS

  • Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools
  • Physically fit to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable with continuous movement and exposure to heat and cold in a manufacturing environment
