Job Title: Maintenance Machinist

Location: Fort Riley, KS

The Maintenance Machinist role involves producing replacement and new parts for mechanical equipment repairs. Key responsibilities include:
  • Interpreting written instructions and specifications
  • Planning and executing work layout
  • Utilizing machinist's hand tools and precise measuring instruments
  • Operating standard machine tools
  • Shaping metal parts to close tolerances
  • Completing shop computations for dimensions, tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Knowledge of common metals properties
  • Assembling parts into mechanical equipment
General Requirements:
  • Formal documented training and minimum five years of Machinist, Maintenance experience
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently
  • Clamber in and out of military vehicles
  • Stand and work in cramped areas for extended periods
  • Work in various weather conditions
  • Possess a valid state driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of Safety and OSHA Law & Regulations
