Overview
The Department of Radiation Oncology & Applied Sciences (DROAS), affiliated with the Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC), is seeking a full-time faculty medical physicist to join their team at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics in Lebanon, NH. This role involves supporting clinical, educational, and research goals alongside a team of physicists, radiation oncologists, and dosimetrists. The position offers rich opportunities for collaboration with various institutions and involvement in research programs and medical physics education initiatives.
Facilities and Equipment:
The DROAS clinic serves 1,000-1,100 patients annually and utilizes advanced technologies such as Varian TrueBeams and ViewRay MRIdian accelerators for treatments. Various treatment modalities including HDR brachytherapy, TBI, TSET therapy, and radionuclide treatments are offered. Treatment planning and management are conducted using Varian ARIA and Eclipse environments, with cutting-edge monitoring techniques in place.

Responsibilities
- Participates in various aspects of radiation therapy treatment planning and delivery.
- Conducts special treatment procedures and participates in research programs.
- Offers instruction in Radiation Oncology Physics and Radiation Safety.
- Engages in ongoing research and contributes findings to publications and meetings.
- Attends tumor boards, chart rounds, and maintains board certification requirements.
- Keeps up-to-date with advancements in the field of Radiation Therapy Physics.
Qualifications
- PhD in Radiation Physics, Radiological Health, or related fields with clinical experience at a radiotherapy center.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Board certification or eligibility by ACR or ABMP is required.
